JCCsmart, the leading payment portal in Cyprus, decided to redesign its portals to better serve its customers.
We were entrusted to redesign JCCsmart.com, the payment portal that most merchants and consumers use on the island to facilitate and realise their payments, respectively. During the redesign phase BLEND had to improve the entire user journey, redesign the website with a more engaging and modern look & feel, and develop the front-end of the website too with the main focus on mobile users.

For a website such as JCCsmart.com which is so widely used on the island, a re-structure of the overall user experience was vital, especially considering mobile users. Working closely with the JCC team, we worked in details on the user experience and usability of the new website. As a result we created wireframes for the user journeys and page functionalities before commencing the design stage. We improved the way consumers have access to their most recent and favourite transactions via a personalised homepage. As well as the full journey, including searching for a merchant or service to the point of paying, storing credit cards and accessing transactions history. We analysed, thought through and mapped every single detail, to ensure that the outcome would deliver an easy and usable experience.
JCCsmart.com is a very popular website in Cyprus for payments. Given, that most of our team members are using it already, it was only natural for us to be able to refine the user experience and overall usability of the site from personal experiences. Via the use of wireframes and user journeys we proposed various improvements without drastically changing the current experience that most users are familiar with. This phase was important to identify the correct layout, structure and flow of each page as well as new functionalities we wanted to introduce. Most importantly, this phase helped us focus on mobile users better and create a different tailored experience for the website on mobile devices.
With a thoroughly-analysed user experience ready, we started establishing a custom fresh and easy-to-follow user interface design. Above all the new, improved web design is consistent with the branding and is modern and functional. We additionally created a detailed online style-guide, analysing and establishing every style and element of the entire website.
With mobile taking centre stage on this project, we ensured that the website is responsive with a mobile-focused approach. For every page, we paid particular attention to the accessibility and usability of every functionality having in mind the ease of use for every user. Most noteworthy is the fact that we created customised designs purely for the mobile experience.
Following our clear workflow and equipped with approved designs we then kicked off the front-end development phase. We only developed the front-end design of the website along with every style, javascript and animated effects. Which we then delivered to the client for the back-end implementation. With modern support on every platform, device and resolution the website delivers the friendliest experience across all devices as the website delivers
